The recent Triton restoration is complete

This older Triton came to the Deck Heads ready for a new look (and a new lease on life). We had quite a list for this one, including:

  • New carpet
  • Fix Hull Scratches
  • Repair console damage
  • Restore gel coat (pretty dull, don't you think?)
  • Reupholster seats
  • Repair hull blisters - and install a keel guard
  • Install a new trolling motor

Carpet for SeaDek?

Gambler Lures has a well-loved 1994 Storm that is spending some time with the Deck Heads at Boat-Tec.  In addition to a new paint job, upgrades to the trailer and new upholstery we are doing something NEW - instead of replacing the carpet we are putting down SeaDek.  We cannot wait to work on this project, as SeaDek is a solid product that is found in so many other types of boats.  Stay tuned as we work on this one - we will continue to post photos at www.deckheadcustoms.com

Bass Boats Everywhere

With the fall and winter fishing season just around the corner here in South Florida we are seeing quite a few bass boats coming our way.  Anglers have been bringing them in requesting everything from Power Poles and new jack plates, to installing new carpet and restoring the hulls.  It's a good time of the year for us to get to see many different boats with quite a few custom requests.

We've been taking photos and working to keep them up to date on our gallery at www.deckheadcustoms.com - so, if you're curious about what we are up to please take a look.

Custom Sea Dek on 1999 Back Country Restoration

Check out the final step in our 1999 Back Country 151 Pro Guide Restoration - Custom Sea Dek.  The dual-color design (sea foam and white) matches the paint scheme on the boat.  The Sea Dek was custom fitted to the casting platform and the poling platform - and they even put www.boat-tec.com as a cut-out.

Boat Tec and the Deck Heads are finally Blogging

With the number of boats recently in for repairs and restorations - along with the vast amounts of products going out our doors - the days seem to be passing at a rapid rate of speed.  However, we've had so many customers, clients and friends ask us for a blog that we have decided not to delay any longer.

Here we will share a bit about what we know (and what we learn) along the way as we continue to work on some amazing projects.  We will also share photos of what we are up to on a regular basis.

Deck Head Customs has recently finished several projects, so stay tuned to see what we are up to next...
